"Microcosm: Triceratops" is the second painting in my Microcosms series - delving into the theme of Alchemical microcosms - miniature life and worlds created in glass jars or beakers. This instalment features a beautiful girl painted in a very classical style, holding an aerated glass orb containing a tiny primeval world, complete with triceratops! As an amateur paleontologist I simply love dinosaurs and adore painting them when possible. This is one of my favourite paintings - it also features the iris, one of my favourite flowers. This painting debuted and sold at the Spectrum Fantastic Art Live 2012 show, prints & posters are now available! I originally ordered this print in a larger size but was not pleased with the clarity of it. When I contacted Zazzle, they responded really quickly and were very helpful. I was able to reorder the print in a smaller size and it was shipped to me within a couple of weeks. The print was packaged well to ensure there was no damage during transit (Eco friendly, too!), and I am really pleased with it.
