In June of 2023, The Milton Scene received an email complaining about the town's upcoming LGBTQ+ PRIDE parade. he email read: "Milton is a family community..." and then went on to disparage the PRIDE movement. Milton IS a family community! 🏳️‍🌈 Milton IS a family community! A family community made up of all genders, identities, races, religious backgrounds, etc. Wear this shirt proudly with love and support - and in defiance of bigotry! Royalties will be donated to the #iammichellefruitzey fund in support of LGBTQ+ students in Milton Public Schools.
