Mimbres Rams T-Shirt

Art based closely on a Mimbres bowl. Between approximately 200 and 1130 CE the Mimbres people lived peacefully in villages located in what today is southern New Mexico. They made astonishingly beautiful and dramatic painted designs of animals, people and dazzling geometrical figures on ceramic bowls which were generally about 11" in diameter. At about 1130 CE the Mimbres mysteriously seem to have disappeared but thousands of their painted bowls have survived. This particular design shows a pair of ram's heads which seem almost to be looking out over a cliff. This is a classic period Mimbres design with unmatched elegance.
