Mimbres Woven Man T-Shirt

Art based closely on a Mimbres bowl. Between approximately 200 and 1130 CE the Mimbres people lived peacefully in villages located in what today is southern New Mexico. They made astonishingly beautiful and dramatic painted designs of animals, people and dazzling geometrical figures on ceramic bowls which were generally about 11" in diameter. At about 1130 CE the Mimbres mysteriously seem to have disappeared but thousands of their painted bowls have survived. This particular design shows a man whose arms appear to have transformed into jagged geometrical patterns. Over his head is an arched opening making it look almost like he is in a tunnel or pathway.
