This 3D depiction rendered in Bryce was inspired by descriptions of events that occur each September in Canada's Point Pelee National Park, on Lake Erie. The butterflies gather for days until conditions are ideal to make the crossing of the lake to the American side. This migration is one of the most remarkable in the natural world.
