The monstera is a gentle giant of tropical plants. Its massive leaves have fronds and holes to let light and rainwater pass through to others beneath it. This cluster of monstera was found in the breathtaking Limahuli Gardens on Kauai’s North Shore. This photo was taken by Brian Teeter on the island of Kauai while researching his new book, The Healthy Trekking Guide to Kauai.
