John George Naish, 1824-1905, was an English Victorian era artist who painted fairy and mythological subjects during the 1850’s. Naish’s work has a brilliant Pre-Raphaelite quality.
This young fairy looking like he’s having a wild ride on a large moth. The stars are twinkling, and the crescent moon is peeking out from the clouds as they fly over the city and river below.
