Moonrise by the Sea (by Caspar David Friedrich) Jigsaw Puzzle
This design features a painting by the 19th-century German artist Caspar David Friedrich (1774–1840). It depicts a romantic seascape. There are three young people, two women side by side and a man further back, who are all sitting on a large rocky boulder by the sea. The human figures are silhouetted against the sky as they watch the moon rising in the distance. There are bands of clouds in front of the moon. On the water are two sailing ships, using the light breeze to travel towards the shore. The landscape depicted is probably located around the Baltic Sea. The original art was painted by Caspar David Friedrich in 1822. The German title of the painting is "Mondaufgang am Meer", which means "Moonrise by the Sea" or "Rising Moon over the Sea".

I customized a puzzle as a fund raiser for my adoption. I wanted a puzzle that I could "sell" pieces to raise money, and write the names of all the donors on the back of the pieces. The puzzle arrived ahead of the projected delivery date, and the quality was incredible! The backs were clean and the different sizes and shapes worked perfectly for writing names. I have finished putting the puzzle together, and I just need a frame to put in on our new baby's wall with the names of everyone who helped us bring him home written on the back! Image quality was great! The wording was sharp, and the picture was just the right amount of fuzzy (the picture was drawn and colored with pencil shading).
