When you really feel something is right, trust your instincts - This painting is based on a photograph my grandfather took when he and Abuela Raquel were on a trip in their retirement. They loved this Roman bridge because it was so old and beautiful - they were very sad when this ancient treasure was destroyed in the war. She originally had painted the buildings as a bit pink, as they were in the photograph...but her teacher suggested she make them more grey. Afterwards, she said she wished she had kept the pinkish tint from the sun, but she kept it as completed in her class to remind her of the lesson...trust your own judgement. When you really feel something is right, trust your instincts...invent your own ways if you need to, and trust that it will turn out good
