Mother Hummingbird - Print/Poster Poster

California's diverse wildlife co-exists in close proximity to many of us who live here. Within a mile or two from our homes, in our foothills and mountains, hiking trails and park paths, in our backyards and beaches, and all around us in the skies above, we are graced with coyote, mountain lions, deer, wild turkey, wild boar, cattle, sheep, goats, sea otters, whales, sea lions, seagulls, turkey hawks, and a wide variety of other air, land and sea animals. Graced with that wild beauty and raw innocence that communicate so many things. Choose the size and paper for your poster or choose the frame and format for your print. This particular mother hummingbird sits on her nest of three eggs, despite the fact that the branch upon which she built her nest was cut down by the tree trimmers. We saved her branch and her nest. Although one of her eggs never hatched, the other two produced two little baby hummingbirds after many weeks of the mother bird sitting on her nest through cold nights and rainstorms. A true testament to the commitment of mothers - in all species.
