The founder of OFI is Dr. Birute Mary Galdikas, one of the original three "Leakey's Angels" which included Jane Goodall and the late Dian Fossey. In October 1975, Dr. Galdikas appeared on the cover of National Geographic, and the orphan orangutan who is holding her hand is still alive today and is still having babies of her own in the wild thanks to Galdikas's efforts. The artist donates 100% of all profits from the sale of this item to OFI.
