Mouse Pad - ET Swallowtail on Lilac

The beautiful Eastern Tiger Swallowtail butterfly is the Official State Butterfly for Alabama, Delaware, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina AND is also the Official State Insect for Virginia. This lovely female just couldn't get enough of the lilac planted near the house. She spent quite a bit of time there, flitting from bloom cluster to bloom cluster and managing, most of the time, to stay out of my line of sight. Patience, however, prevailed, resulting in this gorgeous photographic art print, offered here on this wonderful, mousepad; a fabulous way of adding a lovely, practical way of bringing a touch of nature to your workspace. By the way, the bluish markings on the butterfly's lower back are the gender give-away. The males of the species lack this colouring.
