Pigeons are stout-bodied birds with short necks, and have short, slender bills with fleshy ceres. In general, the terms “dove” and “pigeon” are used somewhat interchangeably. Tumbler pigeons are varieties of domesticated pigeons descendant from the Rock Dove that have been selected for their ability to tumble or roll over backwards in flight. Completed 13.5.13
