This design features a painting by Edmund Blair Leighton (1852–1922), who was an English painter of historical scenes. It shows a man entering a grand building as a woman enters. She is dressed in fine clothes, including a long flowing dress and fashionable hat, and the man is admiring her appearance. There is clearly some romantic tension between the couple.
