The name Nadine means hope. Symbols of hope include the anchor which remains firm in stormy waters, the golden daffodil as a sign of spring, the dove that brings assurance, the butterfly as a wink from departed loved ones, and the bright star that we wish upon. The colour green is the backdrop for these symbols. Green is the colour of hope because it is soothing and offers a sense of renewal, just like the budding leaves of spring.
