What more can I say about Napoleon? Everyone knows he was that short little bugger from Corsica who somehow became Emperor of France and tried to take over the world. Well it turns out that he wasn’t all that short. Those whacky French used to have their own ideas about length and their feet and inches were longer than British ones. In French inches, Napoleon stood at 5' 2" but in British measurements he was 5'7" which was about average at the time. Napoleon didn't have a Napoleon complex for fairly obvious reasons. No - Napoleon had a Caesar complex and liked to dress up in togas and bay leaves whenever he could.
