Native American Haida Double Rainbow Bear Tribal Cushion

Pacific Northwest Native American Indian Haida authentic antique ceremonial double bear design with added rainbow background. This design was originally embroidered on an antique Haida tribe Chilkat ceremonial shirt. Much of the original stitching is still visible around the design's edges. This design was first recorded in a US government report on the Native American tribes of the Pacific Northwest published for the years 1888-1889. Both the Tlingit and the Haida practiced Chilkat style weaving of garments used for indigenous American religious ceremonies and dancing.
