Ned Christie Canvas Print
Ned Christie the Cherokee LegendNed Christie was an outlaw or a hero depending on who is speaking. Ned Christie (December 14, 1852 – November 3, 1892), Cherokee and also known as NeDe WaDe (ᏁᏕᏩᏕ) in that language, was a statesman for his people. Christie was a member of the executive council in the Cherokee Nation senate, and served as one of three advisers to Principal Chief Dennis Bushyhead. A member of the Keetoowah Society, Christie supported Cherokee sovereignty and tried to resist white encroachment.
In 1887, he was accused of killing a United States Marshal in ambush. Christie sought bail in order to prove his innocence, but was refused. He is noteable for having evaded and held off for five years United States lawmen seeking his capture, in what was later called Ned Christie's War. He was declared an outlaw, with a reward on his head, and the case was sensationalised by newspapers. He was eventually killed by lawmen. A 1918 report by an eyewitness to the marshal's murder said that Christie had been wrongfully accused. He became a folk hero among the Cherokee

Very impressive product! The canvas is sturdily made. It features a saw tooth hanger on the back, making it easy to "try out" the canvas in several rooms until I found the best location. It attracts good comments from my friends. I love it! The printing is wonderful! Colors are as bright and crisp as they appeared on the website.

I ordered this product to see what the quality was because I am selling it on my store. Plus it was on sale and it was an excellent price! I didn’t expect it to be as nice. It really is beautiful. I am relieved! The only thing I don’t like about it is the sawtooth hanger on the back. I prefer a wire hanging system. The sawtooth hanger was not even centered but I managed to hang it straight anyway. Overall I love it! I will add the wire myself. The printing was clear and crisp and the colors were excellent! The canvas was stretched tight and professionally done. I am very happy with the quality of the print!
