The Data-River Collective is a subterranean sanctuary of the digital world, a place where information is processed, shared, and celebrated in a environment of absolute peace and vibrant, harmonious magic. This piece tells the story of the first settlers, a group of artists and hackers who, following a series of ancient, code-inspired visions, decided to build their home not in a clean, modern city, but in a barren desert. There, they found a glowing seed and followed its light to a dried-up spring. Following the vision's instructions, they built their first tower and watched as the seed sprouted into the first of the immortal cherry trees. The land was transformed, and the castle they built alongside the growing mountains became integrated into the landscape. ​Over time, they added new layers to their home. The grand central gate, with its intricate art-deco-punk geometric mural, was built as a beacon of artistic expression. They also built small, ornate classical temple-follies, like the one on the right, as retreats for contemplation. The multi-reflective iridescent egg orbs that drift over the lake are believed to contain crystallised moments of perfect dreams. The lake itself is the source of the Eternal Springs, its water imbued with the castle’s magic and reflecting the sky and the castle in unique, shifting patterns. The soaring white eagle, a symbol of freedom and wisdom, is the castle’s sentinel.
