Beautifying this product is a print of Neuschwanstein Castle located in Southern Bavaria, Germany. It is a 19th-century palace built on a craggy hill above the village of Hohenschwangau in southwest Bavaria. The palace was custom-built by King Ludwig II of Bavaria as a retreat. Construction began in 1869 but the castle was never fully completed. Neuschwanstein Castle survived the destruction of two World Wars because of its isolated and defensively unimportant location. Today the castle is a popular tourist destination.
