"Other friends have flown before — On the morrow he will leave me, as my hopes have flown before. Quoth the raven, "Nevermore." This painting is of course inspired by Edgar Allan Poe's 1845 poem, "The Raven." Several nods to Poe and Ravens in general are in this piece. I'm a big Edgar Allan Poe fan and this was a fun piece for me to do, hehe. Pssst - keep your eyes peeled for my upcoming series of Poe's "The Raven" inspired collectibles coming soon from the Hamilton Collection! This is my own original acrylic painting. I originally ordered this print in a larger size but was not pleased with the clarity of it. When I contacted Zazzle, they responded really quickly and were very helpful. I was able to reorder the print in a smaller size and it was shipped to me within a couple of weeks. The print was packaged well to ensure there was no damage during transit (Eco friendly, too!), and I am really pleased with it. I am so grateful to the customer service team for the professional way they handled my order. I had this printed on matt finish card and I was really pleased with the quality. The colours were rich and the image sharp.
