New Orleans Mardi Gras and Jazz Photomanipulation Postcard

This is a photo-manipulation that i created in attempt to celebrate the culture of New Orleans, from my own particular perspective. For me, at the time i created this image anyway, the two dominant facets of the local culture were Mardi Gras and Jazz. The image uses a parade crowd scene as a texture, set against a colour palette which used the distinctive gold, green, and purple of the Big East Carnival. The focal point of the image, though, is a Jazz Man, shot during a performance during the French Quarter Fest of 2009.
