New Zealand Crayfish Postcard
A popular delicacy, the crayfish (Jasus lalandei) or red rock lobster (koura) lacks the large claws of its overseas cousins (and instead has two giant spiny feelers). They can grow up to 60 cm in length and live a very long time. This particular fellow is as long as your leg from your foot up to your knee. They live around the coast and lurk in crannies - you can often find them in rock crevices when diving.
