How bad of a time you're going to have depends entirely on what we can do about it. The treatments that exist -- and ones that don't but one day might -- didn't just fall out of the sky. They were made possible by smart people working long hours in some windowless university laboratory. That research requires funding, a truth many don't seem to understand anymore. They will. Eventually.
