Adapted from an illustration by John Bauer entitled "Freyja and Svipdag", a vintage 1911 childrens drawing. for the fairy tale storybook Our Fathers' Godsaga by Viktor Rydberg, depicting two characters from an Old Norse myth - Svipdagsmál. Freyja is a Norse goddess depicted in the epic Poetic Edda. Svipdag is the champion of that same tale. Scandinavian folk tale fairtytale art. In this painting, Svipdag is pictured in Viking helmet with spear, as wolves lurk in the background. Personalise it with your party details on the back.
