This lighthouse scene is of the North Head Lighthouse in Washington. The building rests on a rock formation located on the edge of the Columbia River and the Ocean. The weather in the northern part of the Pacific coast is often misty and overcast. The grey-blue colour scheme of the painting blended with cool lights creates the right atmosphere of this coastal area. The landscape has been changed to make space for the movement of the sea. Adding rolling waves and the sparkling foam brings life to the seascape. That is the reason that I often sacrifice accuracy for the sake of a better composition.

Very impressive product! The canvas is sturdily made. It features a saw tooth hanger on the back, making it easy to "try out" the canvas in several rooms until I found the best location. I bought this for our own home. It turned out beautifully, and I would recommend it to anyone who has concerns about the quality of the product. The printing turned out perfect. I did have some concerns how printing would turn out. Would the colors be accurate to the original painting's colors ? Yes. Would the sides look right? Yes. Would the bend affect the presentation? No, it's beautiful. I took these pictures hurriedly, on a dark, rainy day, and the room is not particularly light any time. Regretfully, the photos do not do justice to the artwork.
