Nurture Card (Customisable)

A card of my painting "Nurture". It is the "Venus of Willendorf" (also known as "Woman of Willendorf") depicted as "Mother and Child." The stone sculpture of a woman that isnspired this painting was found in 1908 by archaeologist Josef Szombathy near Willendorf, Austria. The statue is 4 3/8" tall. It is estimated that it was carved between 24,000 BCE and 22, 000 BCE. Similar figures have been found. These stone carvings have been thought of as fertility symbols. In the painting, I gave her a baby to go forward from the fertility symbol to show her breast feeding her infant. Thus, transforming her into a symbol of nurturing. This is the first painting in the statue series.
