A love and romance image featuring a beautiful woman who sits and waits for a message from her beloved to be brought by a bird. About the artist: John Melhuish Strudwick (1849-1937) was a Victorian Preraphaelite painter. He was a follower of Sir Edward Coley Burne Jones, 1st Baronet.
