Gansina is a donut-shaped rug (cushion) woven from straw. In the past, Okinawan women used to carry their luggage in a stable manner by placing this "ganshina" on their heads. I don't see anyone doing this right now, but Gansina is laid under watermelons and pineapples that are offered to our ancestors during the Bon festival. The "Gunshina" was designed to be a cool (?) angel ring. After the war, Obama and his colleagues worked hard to cheer up Okinawa using Gunshina every day. I think he is just like an angel.
