Old and New Buildings Downtown Vieux Hull Postcard

A big curved glass tower rises above a brick heritage facade. The slight angle of the photo creates a strong dynamic. The office building peeking out behind was built in the 1970s. The glass building arrived in 2017, and since 2013 the brick building in front has been rebuilt with bay windows and a new facade to replace the old falling-down one. The new front is modelled after the original building. Many old buildings are being destroyed to make room for progress. I try to get pics of them before they vanish forever, taking a vital part of history with them. This is part of the brand new local skyline of Hull Gatineau, Quebec Canada, facing north from the main east-west street, Promenade du Portage.
