U.S. Coast Guard Station Ocracoke Island, NC. OBX - Outer Banks, North Carolina. This photograph shows the former coast guard station on the south end of the island by the ferry landing. The building still exists and is now used as the North Carolina Centre for the Advancement of Teaching, though as of this writing the state funds for the station may be in peril. The island is part of the Outer Banks beaches on the coast of North Carolina and a short ferry ride from Hatteras island. This landscape photo is copyrighted by jh alleyshirts all rights reserved.
