Old Man of the Mountain Coffee Mug

This mug shows the rock formation known as "The Old Man of the Mountain". For many years the "Great Stone Face", as it was also called, kept watch over Franconia Notch from Cannon Mountain in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Although this rock formation fell in 2003, it still serves as a reminder of the rugged independence of the Granite State, New Hampshire. The image is from a painting that I made in 2007 which shows The Old Man of the Mountain, on a sunny day in summer among some evergreen trees.
