    Ophelia (aka By The Pond) (1894) by JW Waterhouse is a vintage Victorian Pre-Raphaelite fine art portrait painting. A beautiful woman or young girl sitting by the edge of a small lake. She is surrounded by nature with lily pads and has blooming spring flowers in her lap. About the artist: John William Waterhouse (1849-1917) was an English Preraphaelite painter most famous for his paintings of female characters from ancient Greek mythology and literature.

    Purchase of the 7th Cavalry Mug was a last minute addition to my purchases and I am really pleased I acquired the Mug. The one I purchased was a "large" but wow, it is large - Extremely well made and just to Mug to put down at a coffee time with a bunch of mates. Early days, but the colours and motifs (there are two) withstand the washing and look great.
