Japanese geometric line pattern in light and dark grey which is used on traditional yukatas or jinbeis. It looks like a chain of square links. A bright and light pattern for warm summers in Kyoto.
This kind of pattern is often used on fabric for yukata or a jinbei, traditional Japanese clothes for in the hot summer months. Even today you still see young men and women wearing these garments in the hot Japanese months.
When you think of this type of fabric, resist dyeing comes to mind. In Japan vintage techniques are roketsuzome with wax, katazome, yuzen and tsutsgaki with rice paste. A favourite method of applying paste is by means of a stencil.

This is one of the most comfortable throw pillows I have ever had. It is so incredibly soft. Everyone in the family fights over who gets to use it, even the dog. Most of the other pillows end up on the floor when she gets on the couch but not this one. She loves it too! The photos turned out great on this pillow. I'd definitely purchase another one.
