Beat your mates with this colourful ping pong paddle covered in this beautiful Japanese orange and white flower pattern. Katazome is a Japanese printing method where you apply a resisting paste on a fabric by means of stencils. The parts not covered by the past can be dyed. You repeat the process for the next colour. That way you construct an illustration or a tiled pattern. It is used on for instance fabric for a kimono or you can tile a pattern on cotton. Japanese still often wear traditional clothes on which traditional pattern are printed. For instance yukatas or jinbeis. The style is also used for pattern prints on paper. I think is called Katazome shi. This is a pattern I found on the web, white flowers on a orange background. With an indigo and dark orange brown accent.

I was a bit skeptical until arrived if the custom monogram and name -- with multiple colors -- would print correctly -- AND IT IS JUST PERFECT and certainly makes a great and unique gift. The printing of three-color monogram and the two color first name are just as seen in the original product description. I am very happy and equally impressed. (had hard time finding best lighting for photo, but I think you'll see the print quality -- and my toaster).
