These paintings have been created in soft pastel and water-colour medium and they're worked in a realist style. I paint from digital photos to create these akita portraits, I like to work from digital photos because I can use lots of different images of a much loved pet and create an original one off portrait and I can zoom right into the photo of the dog to enable me to get the tiniest of details.
