Ottoman pattern from the Turkish empire in blue and white. It looks a like that famous Dutch blue ware. This is the kind of traditional patterns used in the Ottoman empire. It is a stylised vine and flower pattern. In Ottoman ornaments a nature theme was always popular. The Ottoman empire existed for 624 years and they were the biggest Islamic empire in Europe. The state is known for their Sultans who resided with their Harem in Istanbul in the Topkapi serail. Of course the rich Sultans, emirs and pasha's had an expensive taste for fine decoration.
