This photograph was taken by Kelly A. Schwark on the shore of the Atlantic. Every year, Our Lady Star of the Sea Church processes through seaside town of Cape May to the beach, singing beautiful hymns and carrying a statue of Mary. Along the edge of the water, everyone gathered for prayer and for a blessing. They call it a "Wedding of the Sea" ceremony, symbolising the important connection between the sea and the community. Prayers were said for all that come and go from the seaside town and for those lifeguards that watch over us.
