The cool outer space image on this beautiful wall clock comes courtesy of NASA / CXC /JPL-Caltech / STScI and is taken under the "wing" of the Small Magellanic Cloud. It has been recolored deeper purple. According to NASA, the Small Magellanic Cloud, or SMC, is a small galaxy about 200,000 light-years way that orbits our own Milky Way spiral galaxy. This image shows a nebula with distant galaxies behind it. The colours are mostly purples and pinks. The blue numbers on this clock warp inward to simulate a wormhole / space tunnel effect. This clock is the perfect motivational gift for the space geek and anyone who finds beauty in our universe and dreams of exploring the stars.
