This beautiful Jack Fellows painting is said to depict a battle between US Fighter Ace (and former P-38 Association President) Frank Hurlbut and Jg-53’s leading ace, Franz Schiess, during a fierce fighter battle over the Bay of Naples. But, to quote a famous fictional movie reporter, "When the legend becomes fact, print the legend." In addition to the painting is the white stencil text "Bad Day for the Pik-As" - which was the nickname for the Jagdgeschwader 53 fighter wing.

I found the shirt quality itself to be well made. Unfortunately I found that the image quality of the artwork is low resoultion. So the art and words aren't as clear. I probably wont buy another shirt to be honest, but I'm glad I supported the podcast of which I'm a fan of. I was just hoping that for the price I paid, it would have been of better quality.

this was good quality and perfect colour. Printing was great although when we all opened our secret santa gifts one of the other mechanics commented whoever got that for him missed out part time after the word mechanic
