Panoramic view of Rome from Castel Sant'Angelo Postcard
This postcard features a panoramic view across central Rome from Castel Sant’Angelo, spreading the historic cityscape beyond the Tiber. The viewpoint itself stands atop a monument created in the second century as Emperor Hadrian’s mausoleum and later transformed into a fortified papal stronghold. Its strategic position beside the river and close to St. Peter’s made the castle a key defensive and political site for mediaeval and Renaissance Rome.

Such a huge range of different frogs available, which made my choices very difficult and now the reason I have a whole draw full of cards and postcards! Much better quality than you can buy in the shops and they are exactly on the subject I love and adore too.
