Vintage lithograph of Le Marche aux Chevaux, by the most famous female painter of the 19th century, Rosa Bonheur. The original 8 foot by 16 foot oil painting made such an impression that it was exhibited at the Salon in Paris during 1853, two years before it was even finished. This Paris horse market took place on the tree-lined Boulevard de l’Hopital. Visible in the background on the left is the Pitie-Salpetriere Hospital. I was able to reorder the print in a smaller size and it was shipped to me within a couple of weeks. The print was packaged well to ensure there was no damage during transit (Eco friendly, too!), and I am really pleased with it. I am so grateful to the customer service team for the professional way they handled my order. I had this printed on matt finish card and I was really pleased with the quality. The colours were rich and the image sharp.
