Tahitian Landscape (Montagnes tahitiennes), painted by Paul Gauguin in 1891 during his first stay in Tahiti, shows a tropical mountain landscape with a person walking along a path. Gauguin used sinuous contours and intense colours to convey the lush setting. This oil on canvas is held by the Minneapolis Institute of Art.
