Paul McGehee "Chesapeake Bay Bridge" Card
A beautiful note card by the award-winning artist Paul McGehee. "The Chesapeake Bay Bridge" shows famous bridge as it appeared over a half-century ago. The original span of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge opened in July of 1952 and at the time was the longest continuous over-water steel structure, and the third longest bridge in the world! A second span of the bridge opened in 1973. Today, now named the "William Preston Lane, Jr. Memorial Bridge" (after the Maryland Governor credited with heading up the massive project), the bridge connects Maryland's mainland and the Eastern Shore. The Chesapeake Bay Bridge, at nearly 4 1/2 miles long, is an icon of the Bay. Each card comes with envelope.

We downloaded several photos which was simple and produced a very attractive personalised card for our 11yr old Granddaughter.
I was concerned that the card would not arrive on time but Zazzle came up trumps and the card arrived on the day before her birthday - perfect! I didn't see the card as it went straight to our family in New Zealand. However they did send a photo and it looked excellent!
