Venice, The Pink Cloud (Venise, le nuage rose), painted by Paul Signac in 1909, looks from the Giudecca towards San Giorgio Maggiore beneath a glowing pink cloud and evening sky. Sailboats in the foreground catch green reflections as broad mosaic-like touches turn the lagoon into a luminous decorative seascape. This oil on canvas is held by the ALBERTINA Museum, Vienna.
