"Pelicans and the Lighthouse, Dauphin Island, AL Jigsaw Puzzle
"Pelicans and the Lighthouse, Dauphin Island, Alabama" by Catherine Sherman.
Brown pelicans and cormorants gather on rocks near Pelican Point on Dauphin Island, Alabama. In the background is Sand Island Lighthouse.
The brown pelican sea bird (Pelecanus occidentalis) is one of three pelican species found in the Americas and one of two that feed by diving into water.
Sand Island Light, also known as Sand Island Lighthouse (and historical light station), is a decommissioned lighthouse located at the southernmost point of the state of Alabama, United States, near Dauphin Island, at the mouth of Mobile Bay, Alabama. It is located about three miles offshore from the primary Mobile Bay entrance, bounded on the east by Mobile Point and on the west by Dauphin Island. The lighthouse is 132 feet (40 meters) high.
In addition to its sunsets and sunrises, Dauphin Island, on the Gulf of Mexico, is known for its white sand beaches. The island sits at the entrance to Mobile Bay, where the prominently positioned 19th-century Fort Gaines features original cannons and a look at the living quarters and working areas of this historic fortification. The Audubon Bird Sanctuary on the island is a refuge to wildlife year-round, including alligators and turtles in the lakes, and is an important stop for migrating birds. The Dauphin Island Sea Lab's Estuarium offers aquariums and a living marsh boardwalk. Ferry services takes travelers across the mouth of Mobile Bay from a port on the east end of Dauphin Island to Fort Morgan on the east side of the bay.
Pelican Point on the east end of the island provides an excellent view of the Gulf of Mexico and Mobile Pass and is a great location to view sunsets and sunrises. Dolphins can be seen in the water off the beach, as well as many seabirds, including pelicans, terns, cormorants and gulls.

This is the second puzzle I've created and ordered. The pieces are really high quality and the color for the pictures is excellent! I made a collage of over 50 pictures for my niece for Christmas and she loved it! Colors are perfect and vibrant.

I love the puzzle and recommend it to others but i was sad by how long it took to deliver my gift. It was shipped 2 months after I placed my order. I expected it to take a few weeks but eventually I honestly almost forgot about my order. Order a few months in advance in order to get it in time. Actual gift turned out well!
