A photographic remembrance of the summer of 2013 when a juvenile Brown Pelican spent the summer on Lake Erie mostly in the Cleveland, Ohio area, far outside of its usual range to the delight of many. "Pelly" became a local celebrity with many television appearances, newspaper articles and even had a local beer named after him! Along with his own Facebook page, Pelly also had a Twitter feed and legions of fans. Interestingly enough, there is a new Brown Pelican on Lake Erie this year!
