Personalized Bird Christmas Eve Poem Illustration Postcard

A hand illustrated Christmas postcard of a colorful Waxwing bird perched on a snowy Rowan tree branch full of red berries on a dark, blue night time background. You can personalise this card by editing the name on the front and back message and address. Alternatively you can delete the text and write by hand. Please note this is a flat card not a folded greetings card. Waxwings are known for eating Rowan berries, which seemed a suitably seasonal red berry feast to draw for a holiday card. Their exotic beauty adds a bit of unexpected magic to a festive scene. The waxwing call sounds to me like a repeat of ‘see, see, see’ so for this little poem I tried to include lots of sibilant sounds and words that rhyme with see. Waxwings can symbolise friendship, good fortune, generosity and sharing, all relevant to having a merry Christmas. The poem reads: “The night before Christmas Seem sassy, fancy free Merry season eve scene Icy berry tree spree” This design was hand illustrated in the style of vintage woodblock print using digital brushes.
