Pharmacy 8-cent 1972 issue U.S. stamp. ~ Pharmacist ~ Druggist Apothecary ***** The 8-cent Pharmacy commemorative stamp was first placed on sale at Cincinnati, Ohio, on November 10, 1972, in conjunction with the 120th anniversary of the American Pharmaceutical Association. The stamp honours American druggists. ***** Designed by Ken Davis, the stamp depicts widely recognised pharmaceutical symbols such as bowl of hygeia, a mortar and pestle, and nineteenth century medicine bottles.
