This handsome Piegan Blackfoot Native American man was photographed by Edward S. Curtis around the year 1910. He is wearing a fur headdress and bead necklaces.The Piegan Blackfeet are one of the four tribes of the Blackfoot Confederacy. They have lived in Montana and Alberta, Canada, since around 6,500 BC. Edward S. Curtis was a photographer who documented for more than 20 years, in his words, “the old time Indian, his dress, his ceremonies, his life and manners.”
